Experience: 9+ years volunteering with 4-H   Interests: market/breeding swine, electricity, programming

Joe grew up raising market and breeding swine 4-H projects in Clearwater county. Joe is actively engaged in his community leading at his county and district levels, providing educational workshops on everything from swine management, to radio/podcast production, to computer “anatomy.”

Joe’s unique overlap in skills afford him the ability to serve under-connected communities in Idaho with some of the best Free-and-Open-Source-Software (FOSS) solutions, providing similar experiences to the “big schools” without the need for exorbitant networking or cost.

What is 4‑H?

4‑H is delivered by Cooperative Extension—a community of more than 100 public universities across the nation that provides experiences where young people learn by doing. For more than 100 years, 4‑H has welcomed young people of all beliefs and backgrounds, giving kids a voice to express who they are and how they make their lives and communities better.

Through life-changing 4‑H programs, nearly six million kids and teens have taken on critical societal issues, such as addressing community health inequities, engaging in civil discourse and advocating for equity and inclusion for all.
